Aragonite is far more scarce than calcite at Tsumeb and VERY FINE ONES such as this are highly prized. This extremely good specimen of lily-white tarnowitzite, the lead-rich variety of aragonite, is quite a large crystal from here. It is rare to see them so thick and in damage free form. The faces are sharp and sparkly and the termination complete without any nicks, scratches or marked up areas.
