In the 1970s and 80s the Himalaya mine in California produced some of its very finest hot pink elbaite crystals. Nowadays, fine specimens only turn up periodically. Such as this spectacular set of two doubly terminated crystals with rosette-like plates of cream-colored albite and lovely lavender lepidolite. It is an extremely beautiful and attractive specimen. The lower third of this piece is restored to give it greater display impact.
