S23935 – Spessartine

Splendid specimen of rich red spessartine that shows well with galena of characteristic style from Broken Hill, Australia. A classic in fine condition, undamaged crystal measuring 1.7 cm. Ex Rosa Nowels collection

S21733 – Chlorargyrite

Quality specimens of the rare silver mineral chlorargyrite seen here in large crystals and in association with azurite is practically unheard of from Broken Hill. This piece is complete on all sides from this famous and old source for collector material since 1883.

S21240 – Stolzite

Stolzite is an interesting and actually quite rare mineral from the classic locality of Broken Hill in Australia. Hard to find material now, especially in quality crystals without damage.

S20148 – Smithsonite

Since 1883 the broken-backed hill has shown collectors its treasures. Milky-white smithsonite balls perched up on matrix are all time classics from the Broken Hill deposit in Australia. This is an outstanding specimen and none of this type have been found in many years.

S19861 – Anglesite

This bright yellow crystal of anglesite comes from one of the classic spots for early material, the famous Proprietary mine of Broken Hill in Australia. Formerly in the collection of Jim Bleess.

S17915 – Johannsenite

This specimen of johannsenite is just loaded with brilliant red spessartine throughout matrix. The blocky pistachio-green crystals are in excellent condition. Very fine spessartines in combination are relatively uncommon from the famous broken-backed hill of Australia. Ex. Gil Emringer and Alain Martaud

S17484 – Azurite

Azurite is unusual this sculptural in overall form, where it is not at all common to see intense blue crystals dangling from stalactitic limonite.

S15845 – Copper

This is an attractive, highly contrasting miniature with stellar patina. The crystals have grown in a feather-like form, with the left-hand group exhibiting secondary growth. It is, I think, a classy and perfectly formed copper specimen.

S15847 – Lollingite

A sharp, bright individual lollingite without damage or unsightly marks to crystal or matrix. This is an excellent and rare specimen from Broken Hill, Australia. They came out many years ago and are now uncommon.

S15861 – Azurite

This azurite from Broken Hill is very showy and aesthetically compacted into a 3 x 2.5 cm thumbnail. Every one of these blocky crystals come to a fine intense blue finish. Quality specimens are fairly uncommon from here.
