S23927 – Dravite

An excessively bright chrome tourmaline (dravite) that is loaded with quality in excellent condition, and to see one with such intense punch to it is unusual.

S23455 – Zoisite

A stellar, natural top blue without any enhancement. The color of tanzanite is fantastic, in fact remarkable for the epidote group. To see through its prism, a lighter shade of windex blue is beneficial to transmit light and this one is just right.

S23460 – Zoisite

A complete blade of calcite stands out from natural blue tanzanite. The interior is clear and the gem quality runs all the way through.

S22714 – Zoisite

This specimen is an outstanding single, thanks to its natural violet-blue gem body. The color of tanzanite is fantastic, in fact remarkable for the epidote group and unprecedented quality for zoisite.

S20835 – Tremolite

These fantastic tremolites hit the market several years ago, and supply dried up shortly thereafter. This is a particularly fine one, with unusually sharp terminations. The interior is clear and glows a pleasing shade of lime green to verdant green when backlit. A lively piece from Merelani.

S20266 – Zoisite

A pink tanzanite is among the rarest of all zoisites and only occasionally trickles out of the mines. This crystal glows a deep, pleasing violet pink.

S18340 – Pyrite

This exquisitely brilliant, golden crystal of pyrite is perfectly smooth to the point of being shocking and the shape is icosahedral in habit adding an additional degree of excellence. Merelani pieces have exceptional quality and good ones are now highly treasured. The QUALITY is really that good. This crystal is one of the most perfect I have seen without dissolution and in association with calcite.

S18216 – Diopside

This is an exceptionally clear crystal of diopside without any vails or imperfections. Flawless ones are rare, and here is one with the crystal clarity of water. This icicle-like floater has an aesthetic shape full of dispersion, and the discernible green of the crystal glows in person. Merelani is almost certainly the finest source of chromium-rich diopside.

S17765 – Alabandite

Excellent sheen in person, this floater crystal of alabandite recently came from underground workings in Merelani, Tanzania. This is one of the nicest crystals, in terms of sharp three-dimensional shape and luster. The type of thing that must be seen to appreciate.

EXCELLENT in person, this ultra-pristine crystal of tsavorite recently came from underground workings in Merelani, Tanzania. This is one of the nicest single crystals I’ve seen in terms of sharp three-dimensional shape and perfection. Classy, sexy, and attractive, they certainly are some of the finest garnets in the world.
