An unusual piece of stacked spherical sand calcite from the historic and famous locality of Fontainebleau in France. Usually in a calcite habit from the area, this one is different and more of a concretion. The piece is in excellent condition and complete all around. Ex. Bolyard collection

This is an early specimen of “sand calcite” from a famous and well-known locality of Fontainebleau in France. The mineral rarely comes this nice and sharp in large size. This specimen is in excellent condition, and real quality is hard to come by from this spot.
