S16236 – Galena
This specimen came out of the historic and famous locality of Huelgoat, France. The elongated pyromorphite crystals have been pseudomorphed to a silvery bright gray galena. They measure up to 2.2 cm. A history of noteworthy labels comes with the piece, that of the Smithsonian Institution collection and dealer stock of Walt Lidstrom. It eventually went into the collection of Bill McBride.
