S17659 – Aeschynite-(Y)

This is classic, old-time material, not only for its sharp quality, but for its provenance, most importantly Fred Cassirer. The complete termination is slightly greasy in appearance. This piece was also in the collection of O. Ivan Lee, which George Burnham acquired in 1953.

S17688 – Gadolinite-(Y)

This is an excellent specimen of relatively well formed gadolinite. This is classic material from Iveland in Norway, and very much an old specimen from past production, which Bill McBride acquired directly from the personal collection of Scott Williams with his label that dates to 1954-1961. The specimen is repaired.

S15677 – Gadolinite-(Y)

This well developed crystal came from the Charles Hoadley collection and at some point ended up with the partnership of Thomas Warner and John Grieger judging by the accompanying Warner & Grieger label. This mineral is a silicate of iron, beryllium and rare earths and contains more yttrium in its composition making it gadolinite-(Y).
