This locality is well-known for this type of distinct and unusual pseudomorph and this piece is
perfectly formed for a pseudo. This treasured classic is entirely replaced and the false form of quartz is intact and complete all around. It is hard to believe a soft mineral such as talc could replace quartz. Ex. Alessandro Matteucci collection

It’s hard to believe a soft mineral such as talc could replace quartz, but these well-known, old-time pseudomorphs are legit and highly sought after from this historic mine. This is an outstanding crystal, not only for its razor-sharp quality, but for the comparatively uncommon crystal habit as well. Ex. Bill McBride pseudomorph suite
