S21741 – Barite

Impressive barite from a series of finds in the early 1990s, and a particularly fine one from the Meikle mine in Nevada. Quite choice for the species. Incredible gemminess, luster and golden yellow color make up this small cabinet.

A thick, tabular cluster of exceptional clarity and watery luster, set off all the more by vibrant yellow. This piece came from well-known finds in Nevada.

S21441 – Barite

An outstanding full-sized thumbnail. This find of barite encrusted with pyrite is uncommon from Meikle, and an association making it all the more noticeable. Ex. Robert Driscoll collection

S18433 – Barite

A complex, heavily crystallized, 7-inch plate of quality barite, with crystals up to 4 cm piled on top. Crystals are basically pure golden yellow “windowpanes” but have contrasting patches of clearly visible underlying black matrix. Hand selected from thousands, this specimen is impressive, flashy and especially fine in every respect.
