S12943 – Chalcophyllite

Chalcophyllite is a rare secondary copper arsenate mineral occurring in the oxidized zones of some arsenic-bearing
copper deposits, and it is a classic Cornish mineral once called tamarite. This unique shade of blue green is nearly artificial in person and approaches a full centimeter which is quite large for the soft platy mineral.
