Extraordinary for both crystal size and color. This fat juicy jewel measures 2.7 x 2.3 cm and I cannot imagine one better in
the full miniature size range. It quite literally comes across as if a big ripe strawberry were pertly perched on matrix. The
display comes across VERY WELL and the contrast excellent, because of an attractive pale yellow to white microcrystalline
coating that you don’t often see in Uchucchacua material. This isn’t just another showy rhodo though, there is an
element of rarity involved, that of light purple cuboctahedral fluorite in association. Rhodochrosites began to
emerge from this silver-manganese-lead-zinc mine in 1985.
