S15392 – Dioptase

6.7 x 3.8 cm. Mexican dioptase from this spot is not well known and as far as I can tell there aren’t many of them hiding in collections. The reddish claylike matrix is very distinct and unlike any other dioptase specimens. Ex Burminco (label shown).
