S15963 – Silver

This spinel-law twinned, “Herringbone” fan of crystals is well balanced and very aesthetic for a matrix specimen of Batopilas silver. This arborescent crystallization sits in calcite, which is relatively common, however, it is also layered with a glassy quartz coating on the display face as an added bonus.
