S16168 – Bavenite

This is a rich, unusually fine example of the rare mineral, bavenite. It is a calcium, beryllium, aluminum, silicate and the Spanish material is generally considered best of species. This specimen is astonishing for two reasons, for one the piece consists of many intergrown crystals up to 1 cm in mint condition, and for another they are of high quality.
