S18138 – Elbaite

This is older material from a pocket containing the rarely seen zeolite association of stilbite anchored to elbaite in late-stage coatings. The piece is remarkably free of damage from the base up, and in a distinguishing mauve to burnt red color. I bought this specimen years ago in Denver, and it eventually went into the collection of Jerry Rosenthal.
