S23022 – Whewellite

A fine and unusual doubly terminated crystal of whewellite with no faults or damage. Complete crystals of this type are extremely rare and all faces of this specimen sparkle due to inclusions of smythite. Named after William Whewell (1794-1866), it is a hydrated calcium oxalate with organic material.
