S7914 – Magnetite

Even though the mineral magnetite is common at other localities good alpine type specimens are
fairly uncommon and this particular locale is quite rare. These bright high quality dodecs measure up to 1.2
cm in length and sit on sparkling dark red hessonite garnets.
