S23318 – Calcite

This calcite from Egremont is is composed of eye-catching red that looks great on a shelf. A fine old cluster of impressive English calcite from the late 1800s. They are among the most prized and famous of any classic calcite specimens. Undamaged ones are rare, and here is one that is completely intact.

S22736 – Calcite

This is an elegant and long-lasting style of English calcite in its classic form, speckled with red hematite. Slightly grazed on a few edges but virtually pristine, this is “the norm” for these classics from the late 1800s.

S20723 – Calcite

This specimen is high quality transparent crystals comfortably placed on top of each other with some matrix showing which is always nice. Very glassy and smooth faced calcite.

S18943 – Calcite

A fine old cluster of impressive English calcite from the late 1800s. They are among the most prized and famous of any classic calcite specimens, and this piece is almost completely intact which is practically unheard of these days, I mean in such a large specimen. This piece came from George Burnham of Burminco, with his old faded label. Very collectible then, even more desirable now.

S18769 – Calcite

An eye-catching specimen of scalenohedral, pencil tip form to 6 cm long. This piece is composed of striking clarity and tinged iridescent red that looks great on a shelf! This piece went through the hands of Swiss dealer, Carl Infanger, with his label shown.

S16255 – Calcite

This is an elegant and long-lasting style of English calcite in its classic spear-point form, speckled with brown-red hematite. Slightly grazed on a few edges but virtually pristine, this is “the norm” for these classics from the late 1800s, which still set a high standard for the species.

S15778 – Calcite

This specimen is appealing for its combination, but also happens to be in remarkable condition. In general scalenohedral terminations are not so easy to get a hold of undamaged. The body of this calcite is totally gemmy in person. Ex Friedrich Krantz and Bill McBride collections
